Another Monday
Decided to try writing a blog entry with the app. If this works well it will allow me to post from my phone instead of relying on my pc in our shared office. Dealing with the pandemic means J now works from home. That means less time at my PV and my workbench for projects. But it’s what we have to do and I’m grateful that he’s able to work from home.

It’s a typical Monday except for the pandemic, an excessive heat warning, civil unrest throughout the country and my daily battle to keep stress and anxiety at bay. It started to worm its way in this weekend causing me to turn off all news.
This also coincides with the smaller amount of time I’ve spent reading my Bible each day. I’d slipped into just reading the daily verse without working on my Bible study plans. That means spending 10-15 minutes a day versus 30-45 minutes a day. And it shows. Reading scripture each day for at least 30 minutes brings peace and calm to my mind.

I also get a lot of comfort from writing in my journal which I’ve been doing pretty regularly since lockdown. In fact I’ll have to break out a new journal at the end of this month because it will be full. 2020 is a year filled with a lot of “ What the heck is going on?!”
Today I decided that my entries here on the blog will be filled with snapshots of my day. The life and times of a regular human being. It’s the main goal of my blog. There’s no worrying about ad placement, SEO or word count. It’s just me throwing words, thoughts and images at this space.

Monday is pretty much like any other day during the pandemic. It’s filled with washing dishes and making iced tea. And of course I’m always dragging out the macro lens for my iPhone in order to take photos. Today’s subjects were dishcloth, bubbles, the dish scrubber and tea bags. Welcome to the fast lane folks.
As I made tea I mentally worked out the layout for next year’s vegetable garden. It’s happening. It was suppose to happen this year but yup, you guessed it, PANDEMIC. So 2021 is the new date for homegrown veggies.
After that I gathered a couple projects I’m currently painting and brought everything to the living room. J’s working today so he’s in our shared space. The dining room table would have been a better solution but I wanted to catch up on episodes of Dateline while I painted and sealed wood blocks. Give me an $8 TV tray from Walmart and I’ll craft my day away!

Stacked wood projects in progress.
I sealed the “Live Laugh Love” stackable wood blocks with Mod Podge since they will only be displayed inside. The red, white and blue blocks will eventually come together as a 3-pc American flag.
Once J is done work, I can use my drill and sewing machine to get work done on two more projects: a photo display grid in the dining room and a quilt topper I started several weeks ago. Once I get those done this evening I intend to sit down and play WoW.
Peace
