Decorating Our House in FFXIV
After 16 and a half years we left World of Warcraft to play Final Fantasy 14. It was a great decision. We wanted to remain loyal to WoW but Blizzard is making terrible decisions for the game. Final Fantasy 14 has everything that’s important to us in an MMO. Housing, crafting and excellent story.
We managed to earn the 4M gil needed to buy our first home then babysat the placard for over 13 hours to successfully click faster than several other players. It was a plot in The Goblet. Not our first choice but the key was to at least GET a house. From there we would save up another 4 million gil (in-game currency) and hope for a plot in a housing section we liked better. We were totally surprised to find a spot in The Mist, which is an oceanside beach style community. This time we didn’t have to invest all those hours. Once you have a home you can simply relocate to an available plot. Since then we’ve been working on our crafting classes in order to make furniture and decorations for it.

We even made our own Free Clan (basically a guild) but we have no plans to actually recruit folks. We did it so we would stop getting spam recruiting attempts, get more storage space for all of our gathered items and to have a place for family or friends who might decide to play.
You can play FFXIV through the first expansion FREE. That’s 60 levels of game content that includes the base game and the first expansion, Heavensward.
Peace,
