Watercolor

Painting in acrylics is one thing but water color is for me at least, an entirely different beast. Since I’m focused on painting I decided to throw myself into watercolor. Remembering to paint small and paint often, I picked up a few leaves from my backyard to start the adventure.

I’m so grateful to live in an age with the internet. Between Instagram and YouTube I can watch others paint, follow tutorial videos and learn. These five little leaves were fun to paint. Are they perfect works of art like the ones I see on Instagram?

Nope!

But I’m just starting. The artists I see on YouTube and Instagram have been doing this for years. Too many people get discouraged when they don’t immediately have outstanding results. It takes practice. Practice, practice practice.
