The Terminal List | Movies Streaming TV
Amazon and Chris Pratt are killing it when it comes to releasing good stuff around Independence Day here in the U.S. Last year we watched The Tomorrow War when it dropped on July 2nd.
We enjoyed the movie. The hubs and I give it a solid 8 on our scale for movies. We love Chris Pratt. If he’s listed, we automatically give things a watch. This year Amazon dropped The Terminal List with Chris Pratt and we were all in.

Heck yes! Boy did it deliver! The first episode is visually dark making it hard to view many of the scenes. I can understand the choice for the scene in the cave with the SEALs. I felt it was a solid artistic choice that makes it a visceral experience. Unless you’ve experienced that sort of thing, you’ll never know the emotions, adrenaline rush, fear etc. but it definitely put me on edge and made me feel frantic.
Every episode after that was much better visually. So I’m sticking to my opinion that it was a good artistic choice. The show keeps the tension in every episode taut as we learn more about Commander Reece and his team. We found ourselves rooting for Reece even as he got his revenge. What he did was wrong, but what the government did to him, his family, his team members and their families was far worse. The last episode brings closure for Reece as he sails off into the sunset.
The series is based on the book The Terminal List written by former Navy SEAL, Jack Carr. With five books written there could be another series in the future if Amazon and Pratt decide to make it happen. We’re hoping they greenlight future seasons because The Terminal List quickly became a favorite like Jack Reacher and Jack Ryan.
Fingers crossed.
In the meantime, I’m going to buy all the books and dive in.
Peace,
B
