Hello October!

Wow, September went by fast didn’t it? The grandkids are back to school, the pool is closed for the summer, and we’re already 4 weeks into the 2023 NFL football season. I’m streaming Red Zone as I type this because the Commanders and Eagles are in overtime! Eagles you say? Betty? Aren’t you a Kansas City Chiefs fan? Yes, yes I am but I grew up watching the Eagles play on every family TV during all the Sunday fall dinners. So we cheer for the Birds as long as their not between us and a ring. The way everyone is playing today, it’s going to take me a bit to write this post.

So what’s been going on between the last entry and today? Fall Ball is happening for my grandson with the Challenger League. It’s only 4 weeks but he’s been having a blast. We’ve been smoking a lot of ribs too! Mostly because I’ve managed to score some great sales on baby back ribs and I love to smoke meat. My youngest son (28) smoked his first racks of ribs and while I cringed at his process, they turned out pretty good. Everyone has to start somewhere and I’m glad he’s getting into BBQ and smoking meats like the rest of us.

And then there’s the art. I’ve been practicing watercolor regularly and I decided to try my hand at decoupage. At some point I’m going to take better pictures but the snaps from my phone will have to suffice for this post.

Hello October! I’m looking forward to lots of art, crafts, baking and football! Let’s get to it!

Peace,

Nim
