Wait What?!

After nearly three years away from World of Warcraft we returned to the game. Actually, I returned because I miss playing Gnomes and Dwarves. Hubs followed because he said, “I enjoy MMOs, but I love playing them with my best friend more.” Awww!! He racked up some serious wife cred that’s for sure.

Dragonflight has been interesting and definitely a better expansion than Shadowlands. We played that expansion for all of 3 months before we quit the game in frustration. Our frustration grew as news about Blizzard got worse. It was hard, but we went on to play Final Fantasy 14 Online and honestly thought that was the MMO we’d play for the next decade. As of now, we subscribe to WoW and also play Guild Wars 2 because it’s such a good game.

We pre-ordered The War Within expansion which is due out sometime next year. Most folks are speculating that release will be late Spring. I’m hoping that it’s later in the year in order to give them time to deliver a solid game. Next November marks 20 years of WoW and that also seems like a fitting time to release it. I’m in no rush because we’re working through Dragonflight now and intend to go back to older expansions to farm transmogs, mounts and achievements. It’s how we “MMO”.

WARCRAFT RUMBLE

I’ve never been a fan of mobile games but downloaded Warcraft Rumble, an action strategy game. I downloaded it, went through the tutorial and killed Hogger in order to get a companion in WoW. I’m all about pets/companions.

You meet Gnomelia in the game through the Gnome Heritage Armor questline. While in Stormwind, I noticed a smaller version of the NPC following a player. I immediately Google’d her. Sure enough, if you connect your WoW account to Warcraft Rumble, play through the tutorial and defeat Hogger, you’re rewarded with Gnomelia in WoW. It was surprising to me that my son didn’t know about this, but he also plays Horde in game. But now the entire family has earned her, so we have an army of pink haired gnomish pilots trailing behind us when we all play. That’s a win in my book.

Stay tuned for more adventures in WoW as I get reacquainted with the game and level even more Gnomes and Dwarves.

Peace,
