Romans 8:28 | Wednesday's Word
We’re in awe of the times when God moves in a mighty way. The time when I was driving at night and was nearly t-boned as I turned left to enter the interstate. It was a dark and stormy night…
No seriously, it was a dark and stormy night. I was making my way home from the county fairgrounds and couldn’t judge the distance between me and the oncoming car. My little SUV with its economy engine shouldn’t have made it, but it did and I was literally screaming, “Thank you Jesus!!” and praising His name for rescuing me. These days I only drive at night if the weather is clear and my destination is in my township or the next township over because I know these areas like the back of my hand. I have no intentions of being the older person that refuses to acknowledge aging when it comes to surrendering
That’s a big God move. In the past year, I’ve committed to a daily habit of prayer and reading the Bible. It’s changed my relationship with God so much and increased my faith beyond measure. It’s also opened my eyes to the smaller ways that the Lord moves in my life. The every day things that could have gone awry, but God interceded. And I praise Him in those moments. I close my eyes, throw my hands up in the air and just praise Jehovah Jirreh, my heavenly Father.
