Anniversary and Indecision

Today is our 21st wedding anniversary. We're amazed that we both remembered. We find it amusing that in 21 years we forgot our anniversary more than we remembered it. Friends and family continue to be astonished that we forget it often or don't post about it on Facebook. The Facebook thing is so that THEY can remember it and then post something nice. Honestly, social media has ruined interaction between people. But that's a topic for yet another day.

Are we more in love? Yes, I'm confident in writing that. The biggest thing we celebrate is that we're still friends, best friends in fact. Next to Jesus, there's no one I trust more than my husband. People often ask how we can stand to spend so much time together and we look at them like they're insane. Why wouldn't I want to spend loads of time with my best friend, my confidant, the guy who lets me sob uncontrollably on his shoulder when words fail me. There are days when it feels like we've been together forever and days when I'm wonder how all the years have gone by so quickly. At the end of the day we've grown older and hopefully wiser. We still say "I love you" and mean it. We can spend entire days barely talking to each other, not because we're angry, but simply because we're doing our own thing. So yay for us. We made it to 21 and I'm praying we make it to 50.

Being indecisive is something I've struggled with a lot over the years. Mostly when it comes to making big decisions. Thankfully, I'm past that but lately, While talking to my hubby, I lamented about my blog and he asked me why I wasn’t subscribing to Squarespace, since it’s the host I love the most. After several moments of a blank expression I said, “I added it to the ‘don’t need’ category when we were going over our budget.”

Happy anniversary to me, I’m back on Squarespace and actually editing this post to reflect the change. Time to spruce the place up a bit.

Peace

Nim
