Into a New Decade We Go

When I was a kid all I wanted was to be a teenager. When I was a teenager I just wanted to graduate high school and get on with adult life. Once I had my children they years began to fly by at a dizzying pace. My babies are grown and forging lives of their own as I traverse this new phase of life. This past year like so many others has flown by and it’s nearly New Year’s Eve. The end of this year is different though because with this celebration into a new decade we go!

Our family Christmas was wonderful. We opened gifts, ate too much food and enjoyed the company of our loved ones. We played Trivial Pursuit 40th Anniversary Ruby Edition and Cranium.

We decided not to host a party this year. Instead we’re bringing in 2020 quietly doing what J and I love: watching movies and playing video games. We’ve hosted every holiday this year and just want a break. Besides if the Chiefs make it to the Superbowl we’re definitely hosting a party!! We’ve got our fingers crossed for the playoffs and the house is decked out in Chiefs red. GO CHIEFS!!
